We need your support!
As you can see, this website is a bit scrappy. But it's high time that the legal community got a legal wiki of their own. Legal practitioner as shelling out way too much money for information in the public domain. Law firms and lawyers spend thousands of dollars a year on their legal libraries! It doesn't take much to build a great wiki website that could provide much of the same information for free.
At wikilaws, we've paid for hosting, set up the wiki, and seeded it with about 2000 articles to get started.
Our goal is to provide Free Law for All.
You can help us by writing and editing articles. We particularly need help setting up templates to give our pages a more polished and useful look.
We're committed to giving away $100 each weekday in September, 2007 to a law student in recognition of writing and editing. We hope to extend this year round, finances permitting.
To that end, we hope that you will visit our advertisers as appropriate. We have Google advertising on the left column and footer of most content pages. We chose Google because they do a good job of posting relevant ads that you may be interested. Do not hesitate to click on these ads if you are interested in the product or service advertised!
Also, we have set up a bookstore link. Buying books and materials through this site helps us raise money to continue the Publius Award scholarships. Use this link to buy anything from the Amazon catalog, from law books to paperback fiction to DVD movies.
Of course the best way you can support this project is by writing and editing pages.
Thanks for your support.
